Employer terms

These terms apply when you post a job on MyDistrict, in addition to the Terms of use and Community rules.

1. Real jobs only. The vacancy is genuine, currently open, and described honestly — the work, place, timing and pay.
2. No fees, ever. You will not ask any applicant for a registration fee, deposit, training fee, uniform fee or any other payment.
3. Fair treatment. You will not refuse anyone because of religion, caste, community, gender, disability or region, except where the law allows a specific requirement.
4. Lawful work and pay. You will pay at least the minimum wage that applies, and follow labour laws. No child labour — you will not employ children, or adolescents in hazardous work.
5. Applicants' data. Applicants' names, phone numbers and resumes are shared with you only for this hiring. You will not use them for anything else, share or sell them, and you will delete them within 6 months of closing the job.
6. Respect. You will not harass applicants, ask for personal favours, or ask for Aadhaar or bank details before a written offer.
7. Your decision. Hiring decisions and the employment relationship are yours. MyDistrict is not an employment agency and is not a party to the employment.
8. Checks. We may hide or remove jobs, and suspend accounts, that break these terms, and pass information to authorities where the law requires.
